Ryan Mann is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and has extensive background in military, police and investigative operations. He joined the US Air Force in 1993 and completed two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf with the 4404th Combat Wing and the 363rd Air Expeditionary Wing. His duties included convoy escort and Search and Recovery operations. Ryan was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 2000 having received, among other honors, the Air Force Achievement Medal (twice), Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.

After the military, Ryan transitioned to Law Enforcement. He joined the Knox County (TN) Sheriff’s office, where he was awarded the Angela Payne award for top academic performance coming out of the academy, and was a member of the elite Special Operations Response Team (SORT). The SORT was responsible for fugitive recovery, inmate cell extractions, security detail for high value individuals, riot control and many other specialized functions. Out of 33 original applicants for class 14, Ryan was one of only 3 officers to graduate this grueling program. Upon relocating to Florida, Ryan joined the Ormond Beach Police Department. He was an outstanding patrol officer and received his assignment as a detective after 3 years on patrol. Ryan was assigned to work undercover narcotics as part of a multi-jurisdictional drug task force. He was trained in extensive surveillance techniques, using up to date methods and the most modern technology. Ryan attended the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) narcotics school and has experience in several cases outside of narcotics to include homicide and sexual assault/battery.

Considered one of the top experts in the field of deception detection in Florida, Ryan has developed a deception detection curriculum for continual professional training for attorneys in the State of Florida, approved by the Florida bar association. He has appeared as a guest speaker on the topic on multiple radio shows. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Florida and the University of Central Florida covering topics such as criminology and deception detection.
